First and second generation keypads were both the same price (thankfully) so went for the second generation. Wanted a few more to cover the rest of the doors as we find we forget to arm the alarm on our phones when we leave but having the keypad in view reminds us. The first gen keypad on the other hand has the face only a mother could love, and was described as looking like a fisher price toy on a review I watched, which is accurate. ![]() I prefere the look of the first generation door sensors, although bigger, they seem to blend in better.
